Admissions Criteria

Real Life Christian Academy does not discriminate on the basis of sex, color or ethnicity. Admission to Real Life Christian Academy is based upon several factors.

  1. The average academy student scores above the 80% range on standardized tests. New students are expected to evidence similar academic ability.
  2. RLCA has high standards of behavior and character. Prospective students and parents must demonstrate a willingness to adhere to our policies and have a discipline history that reflects our standards. This will be evidenced by school records, reference letters and personal interviews.
  3. Each student (except pre-K) will successfully complete our entrance exam. Grade level placement decisions depend heavily on performance on this exam.  Understand that Real Life has an accelerated curriculum. Many students who come to Real Life are behind – about half of public school students are placed a grade level lower.  Placement decisions are non-negotiable and final.
  4. The academy expects a high level of parent support and involvement in the education of children. “Family fit” with our values, educational philosophy and methods is an important factor in admissions decisions.

Ultimately, Real Life Christian Academy desires to ensure the academic success of each student and a harmonious partnership between school and parent.
