Real Life Christian

I feel like I have been teaching all my adult life--one way or another. My greatest joy is being a mother of three children and I knew that reading and talking to them was very important. I let them know that Jesus was ALWAYS there to listen to them just in case I wasn’t. My life included many other jobs including opening a Child Development Center, teaching in Christian Schools, working as a Deli Manager (for children’s college and weddings) and finally graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Education--30 years after I graduated from high school!! I am leaving 12 years of teaching in a Title I public school in Orlando and am thrilled to return home to Christian schooling.

I grew up in Kansas, the first of five children ALWAYS going to church. As a teen, I KNEW that I would go to heaven but, I didn’t know how to talk about it. As I became a young adult with children, I KNEW Jesus would have died for me--even if I was the only person living in the world. He then became my
personal guide in all that I do in life. I enjoy doing “childish” things, especially with my grandchildren. We even have dessert FIRST sometimes!

Life is always FUN!! At least that’s the attitude I strive towards as I enjoy the simple things in life and see the world through the eyes of young children.
